Musical Bonding
"I think music in itself is healing," American musician Billy Joel once said. "It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music." Most of us would wholeheartedly agree with this statement, and it is this universal bond with music that has led researchers across the globe to investigate its therapeutic potential.
Within our society, singing and music have an important role to play. In many aspects of our lives, you will find music present:
theatre, television, movies, festivals, holidays, gatherings, and ceremonies of government and military. Music can become element of our family customs at home— a natural part of our daily experiences. Melodies motivates all aspects of a child development and academics readiness skills as well as all aspects of scholastic, social-emotional, physical, linguistic and knowledge. Exposing children to music throughout early development helps them to learn the sounds and significance of words.
There is a research, which proves that the musical experiences in childhood can accelerate the development of the brain, especially in language learning and reading skills.
